Re: Closing your own topics

Actually, there is only 1 con, as mods can still edit and delete posts and re-open things.

Re: Closing your own topics

Mm Hmm. Anyways, maybe we should ask what a moderator thinks about this! I think they'd be aware of the pros & cons, & would have good reasons to back up their opinions.

Sooner or Later. Or sooner. Not much, except for a lot. In a way. But it will come no matter what.

Support. This would be SO useful. I also agree with only Scratchers being able to do it.

Yeah, but sometimes I still want my old first topics on the forums so people can see how much of a n00b i was  roll
I mean, if someone didn't want to delete it but it was leading to fighting and all. they might just want  to close it especially if it had a lot of replies.

I support. Also, I am against deleting, because I like having everything archived and available for research.

Well, people will now discuss the idea on the original topic instead of my duplicate.

Re: Closing your own topics

Yeah, I would like this. For example, if I created a topic asking for help on how to make Online/Offline indicators, and joeshmoo answered it, and I didn't want anybody else to answer it, I could close it.

You can't really necropost in Suggestions, as long the post is relevant to the suggestion.

I see no cons because the mod could just block 1-4 and the last one still happens nowadays...

That wasn't the con... I was saying that your con made no sense. Anyways I reposted that I see NO cons.
