GIMP ftw
It might look hard, but with practice it becomes very easy and you can make wonderful pictures. That's why I like it. It's also free.

Paint.NET is a free painting software which bares a resemblance to the Microsoft Paint we all know and are knowledgeable of.

What about MyPaint?
As an example of the stuff you can make with it, I made this within about 10 minutes of downloading it:

Exactly. I made a gradient image in MS Paint that looks like those fancy ones used in GIMP. And your username reminds me of a program called The Powder Toy. Although It is a powder physics simulation game, people make awesome art in it!

Sorry to say, I can't add any more paint programs to the list. I'm now banned from downloading (thanks Parental Controls [/sarcasm]).

MyPaint is awesome for drawing. I like GIMP better for anything else though.

But GIMP is awesome for everything. EVERYTHING. Seriously, if you can figure it out, it is more powerful than Photoshop.

I dunno, GIMP and Photoshop can each do things the other can't. But they're kinda for different things. PS is more powerful for photo manipulation and cleanup though.

Yeah. What I think is Photoshop is more automatic, GIMP you have to do a lot of things yourself. Like you know how photoshop senses backgrounds to remove things from photos? You can do the same thing in GIMP, just you have to figure it out yourself.

I'll try, but unlike American schools, you can't just walk into the IT suite and go on one of the computers.

I'm not in America.
You could download it at the library, if they have computers.
What Parental Control program do you have?
You could install the paint programs on a flash drive if you don't have administrator privileges.
