You need to have a old version of Scratch. The oldest I have is 1.2, which has no "old blocks"...

If you mean the comment block...

You still can't GET IT from there.
Plus, there's a new comment block in 1.3 - just right click and select "add comment" or something like that.

On 1.3 the comment isn't really a block anymore. It is more of a sticky note.

But in essentials it remains the same.

Yes, there have been plenty.
Lists didn't exist until 1.3. X position of sprite 1/2/3/5/7236 didn't exist until 1.2. Sound has been improved a lot. Much has been improved. Honestly, 1.1 was extremely buggy (I remember - I've actually been on Scratch for 2 years, but I didn't actually start Scratching until 1 year ago)

The only "old" block that I know of is the comment block.
You can get one in 1.3.x by opening an older project (like this one) and copy the block to your project.

I think that was what Doody was talking about. It was a comment block in the color of a list.

Also: Stretch Blocks
And: A bunch of old blocks... However, I'm not sure if they're hacked or not.

Well the reason that Scratch make new versions regularly is so that there are still "old blocks" in the new version, but they may have had extras added to them or may have been improved so that way, there would be no disappointment in the new versions. Otherwise it would be pointless deleting any "old blocks", because everyone would be complaining about it here or in the "Suggestions" section. Also, the "old blocks" may have had their looks changed completely so they may look like a "new block" when they're not. In other words, there are no "old blocks" to miss!
