Penguino still doesn't move right! D: How can I make him bigger? I could make him faster/slower...

Guys, we can actually submit at this point. If we add the powerups, it will be music-oriented, even without the tone assembly.

Okay.

Unfortunately, you have to download for it to work. I don't know why.

A level. put things wherever you want them. I think amcerbu't testing level can be the first one, because it is easy.

Several things:
First of all, @applejack:
It's hard to design levels that are fun to play (and you're good at it), but do you think we could do more levels? I just seems that 4 might be too few. I think 16 levels is ideal: 4 levels for each of the 4 seasons. But it's really up to you, as long as it's a multiple of 4. For that matter, if we add to the four you've already made, the three of us could each make 4 levels to arrive at a total of 16.
Second of all, @Hardmath123, an idea for the story:
Here's my idea. Please tell me what you think/create your own (you were the one pushing a story near the beginning). You play as Penguinote (nice name, applejack), an intelligent eighth note-penguin who has been captured by an evil composer. You must work your way through x (we haven't decided the number yet) levels in four seasons to reach the end of the score, escape the composer, and rejoin your arctic/musical kin!
Also, an update:
I'm working on adding the two music files from Hardmath123 and the levels applejack posted into the project, along with making a little main menu with a column of levels for each season (you click on a numbered button in the column for each level - I'll do graphics, it's easier that way). I'll put one of the levels already made into each season for the purposes of demonstration. My idea is that you can play a level only if you've beaten the levels above it in that column. So you unlock levels as you go, though you can start with any season. I'll do my best to arrange the levels in increasing difficulty. I should have it uploaded in a day or so, along with the last physics tile scripts.
And one last thing:
Hardmath123 pointed out earlier that I had neglected to add "begin" and "end" blocks. I plan to add those based on what I'm guessing one is supposed to do in each level. I'll also scatter powerups and all those good things. Can we make a definite list of powerups with three-letter abbreviations (in the game, circles of different colors with letters inside would be fine)? That would be useful.
Wow, that was a long post.
Cheers,
amcerbu

Oh, and was some anonymous user like "Hello..." when they were checking out the winter theme? Because someone said that, but I missed it, and it was too late when I saw it - they had already left. I am named apple jack on google.

Haha! I only saw anonymous 5 and 10.

Wow amcerbu, you're really working hard on this. I'm so sorry I've been out of it the past few days, I was majorly editing the Wiki, and our WiFi wasn't cooperating.
Here's a list of simple powerups and downs:
1. Ritorando (rit) slows you down
2. Crescendo (cres or <) makes you faster
3. Decrescendo (decres or >) makes you slower
4. Forte (f) makes you bigger
5. Piano (p) makes you smaller
6. DS al Coda (the Coda sign) teleports you to the Coda point
7. Fermata (fermata sign) slows down time
8. Treble clef makes you lighter (low gravity), if possible, you could fall up (antigravity)
9. Bass clef makes you heavier (high gravity), or reverses gravity back downwards
10. Grace notes give you extra points
That should be enough.
I like your story idea. How about Salieri stole Penguinote from a Mozart piece, and you have to return it? If you don't know, Salieri and Mozart were contemporaries, and Salieri never really got his fame and fortune due to Mozart stealing the spotlight.
I think we should ignore note collection for now, and focus on a good quality platformer.
The menu seems like something we could make very interesting. I think, rather than locked levels, there are only 4 menu options; one for each season. Then you select a season and are teleported to your current level in that season. If possible, a cool menu could be made by integrating my Menu Base with musical themes rather than planets (it's ok to use it as TimeCraft never really worked out). It could save you lots of time.
More music/FX coming up now that I have vacations! But I'm going out on the 5th for a trip and won't be back for 2 weeks, so don't expect me on here as often as I am now (I will have internet access, but I'd rather enjoy my trip than be stuck in the computer all day).
Thanks,
Hardmath123

All you need to do is give us the music, amcerbu and I can do the rest. Enjoy the trip! It's fun to have your device on and watch as different wireless connections pop up as you drive through cities n' stuff.

That all sounds good. I really like that menu base, I'll copy it into the project some time this week (evil laugh).
And your story idea seems more fleshed out than mine. After we've finished with the rest, we might make a slideshow-type thing at the beginning.

Did you ever play Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass? In it Ohus has a bunch of slides/pictures that he slides back each time to show a story. I think it's really cool.

You have a Scratch It came with my Nintendo DS Lite. So basically, this old man has a bunch of paintings with pictures of a story on them. He slides them to the side to advance the storyboard thing as he talks about each one.

No, I never played any of the Zelda games (I don't have a gaming console).

Sounds cool! That's similar to what I've seen in the stories for other games. It seems to be either an animation with text beneath or a narrated story. Eventually, we might do something with several slides with text and illustrations. Anyway, 4-day weekend starting tomorrow = heavy-duty Scratchwork.

Applejack: I duplicated your fall background and did some touch-up in Paint.NET, to make it a little more Nitrome-y like your other backgrounds. I blurred the colors together, and then did a pixelate effect at 6 pixels. Anyway, please tell me what you think:
