lol, moved.

Interesting article... but I think the writer dropped the ball by failing to link to the Scratch, Ruby and Python websites in the article. It needs links to those websites in case those readers are interested in those programming languages after reading the article.

I agree with you, but I hope that they've heard of Google.

They probably have, but searching up for it might deter them from looking up Scratch, Ruby, or Python, though (unless they have the desire to go through the search engine process). I know it seems like laziness to use a search engine, but if a person is reading the article quickly, they might just give it a passing glance and then not bother to look it up later. Admittedly. I'm one of those who is quite guilty of that of procrastination. ^^;

I think the thinking/problem-solving skills that programming teaches can be invaluable. It is ultimately breaking vague concepts down into simple, step-by-step processes. Scratch is an excellent foray into becoming proficient at such thinking. Advanced mathematical algorithms shouldn't be required - they actually probably impede on learning such concepts - but a basic understanding of problem-solving that is inherent in programming, while not needed should definitely be emphasized more. And besides, programming is fun!
