Recording mp3 files into scratch. What is the best way?

I want to put some mp3 files into scratch 1.4 by recording them.
Best way to do this?

You can import sounds into Scratch via the 'Sounds' tab next to the 'Costumes' tab on each sprite.
You can also record sounds if you have a mic.

While Scratch DOES have a built in recorder, I would reccommend using another program to record your sounds, then import the sounds into Scratch. Scratch's recorder just sounds to graty ‹.‹
