And Verse 2

Here is Verse 1
You seem to be struggling to sing with the original recording. At certain points, you tend to start singing either too early or late. Make sure you familiarise yourself with the song before singing it. There are still some mistakes that I will not be able to fix when mixing because if a stray note enters the song at certain point, it won't go with the tune. Do you think you can do that? Concentrate on singing the exact same way the original singer did, entering each verse and chorus at the right time, even at the middle of a line.
EDIT: Same about Verse 2.

Oh!
I know why.
It's because I was listening to the recording of the original singer as I recorded, and sometimes it stalled and I would wait for it to start playing again.

Alright. Just a friendly reminder to start on time, sing it in a similar manner to the original vocalist and ignore any variations for the time being.

I'll record when I can. Is Reload okay? I think Reload and When I'm Beside You are the one's I'm most comfortable with, and the ones that can get done the fastest. I'm sorry I'm having issues with My Voice To You...though I'm sure that if I work hard, I can get it!

I think you sing Reload best out of the three songs, to be frank. Just for now, try and perfect that only.
Remember, don't swallow any words; try to make every word audible. The way you sang it earlier was fine, but just try and polish it. The outro of the song has to also be pitched perfectly, so try and sing it accordingly.
I'll be adding the lyrics to the 3rd verse tomorrow. Hopefully you can record it then, but by all means, practise right now to get the hang of it!

VanillaCreme, since you're online, have you done your vocals yet? I need it very soon if we are to consider you. You did say a while back that you started recording, but never got back ever since. I have plans to release it on April 1st, so you will need to upload it today/tomorrow to stand a chance. Do you think you could do that? Thanks.

I recorded Reload again...I think these are very strong recordings. I tried to speak the words as clearly as possible. This time, I skipped Verse 3 and the organ solo, and went straight on to Part Two. Please tell me what you think. I hope you like them!

Great, I'll try to fix my microphone. For some reason it doesn't want to work with Scratch -_- If you look in my projects I was able to record some of a song I wrote but I was sick when I recorded that.

Try recording with SoundCloud. That may work.

Great! I do need some more practise with My Voice to You, so far for me it's the hardest one out of all of them.

I checked the tracks out. Reload is a great improvement from when you last sang it, well done. You may notice yourself struggling on the high notes a bit. Keep the track you last uploaded, but if you could, please do rerecord it, focusing on the second verse as you don't seem able to deliver the lines rhythmically (i.e. I want you so bad, you're driving me mad). You kinda stall there. Also, the end needs some work (i.e. Make up your own mind, now... Will you come with me, now-ow-ow... Oh Reload!). Look carefully at the notes, listen intensively and you will realise that you are singing it different to the Noteflight score. All you need to concentrate on is the pan flute sound, which gives the vocal notes. Do all that, and if you still struggle, I have another idea which I think may help you out.
EDIT: Listening to When I'm Beside You right now...

Oh! The pan flute I though was an octave higher than what I was supposed to sing.
I'm sorry I'm giving you much trouble >.< I'm rather inexperienced when it comes to these things...

No problem, it's a pleasure to help someone improve! You do realise that yesterday we chatted online for about 2hours and 20 minutes, right? I'm always glad to help someone out!
I listened to When I'm Beside You and I'd suggest you focus on Reload at the moment since your voice suits it more in my opinion. You seem to mess up WIBY at the first few lines of the chorus.
When singing Reload, if you can't pitch that really high 'Please!', just sing it at the octave you sing the rest of the song in, but only for that part. And the end, I advice you to take a look at those notes as I stated before.

Okay! Thank you for your advice. I have an EXTREMELY packed schedule tomorrow so I won't be able to get it in unfortunately but if I have time this weekend, I'll try.

Alright. I'm still waiting for the other auditioners to upload their tracks, so you're doing great anyway and I'd appreciate it if you could keep this commitment up!

Great! Thank you so much. You seem to know a lot about music and it's nice to have someone experienced give me some advice.
Just a question: no pressure, but when do you think you'll select the singer for the band?

Yup, I am very much into music. I follow it like a career really! I play many different instruments too. I have a good bunch of solo work on the way that I will be uploading on Scratch in summer.
We'll select the singer as soon as we find someone has perfected every vocal aspect of a song, and you KalinaStar, stand a very good chance if getting the honours for Reload, if you try hard enough and work on the places I suggested!
We plan to release the album in April.

Thank you! (I've said that in like every post ) I'll try my hardest. My voice is very tired, because I came back from a music elective at school (my friend and I are singing 'Put Your Records On' by Corinne Bailey Rae).
Would it make it easier if I recorded it bit by bit so you can keep the good parts and trash the bad? Then we wouldn't have to worry about Verse 3.

Yeah! That's great; good to hear you are passionate about singing, and that is reflected in your recordings. Your suggestion is very good. I can correct you bit by bit where you go wrong in the song. Then when I complete verse 3, I will tell you so you can record just that bit.

Glad to hear that. I know, however, that verse two's rhythm feels awkward for me. I'll try to get it though.
I'm afraid I need to go off now and research the Doha round. Thanks for all your help, I hope to talk to you again soon!
One last question (sorry I have so many!) There isn't a less awkward way to say this, but are you a boy or a girl? I believe you're a boy but then again, I wrongly judge people all the time.
