BBFC Ratings Guide

BBFC is the British Board of Film Classification, meaning they are responsible for film age ratings in Britain and participating countries. Here are the ratings:

U: Suitable for all ages and/or contains content which isn't harmful.
PG: Not suitable for younger children, contains content which may be harmful.
12A: Cinema only. Children allowed if supervised by an adult over the age of 16.
12: Contains content appropriate only for children who are 12 or above.
15: Contains content appropriate only for people who are 15 or above.
18: Contains content appropriate only for people who are 18 or above.
R18: Contains content appropriate strictly only for people who are 18 or above. R18 rated films are only sold in licensed shops.
