I just wanted to say that I think that Frozen Coco is super cool and I admire you all for doing it.  smile  Your songs are awesome and the idea is amazing. While I am both female and a teenager, my singing voice is not too great, so I don't think you want me. But good luck in your search! (If, by any strange chance, you ever need a trombonist, I'm your girl.  tongue )

Well, there's no harm in auditioning.  tongue
We'd love to hear you!  smile

@ All4one: I'll tell you if we need your help.  big_smile

@ VanillaCreme: Cool, just try to get it done today.

Re: -'Frozen Coco' Needs A Female Singer-

I'd like to try out, but my mic isn't the best.

My Sort of Resumé:

Contralto (vocal range of Eb3 - G5)

Performed several times at school

In school glee club

Blah blah blah

Cool. You can audition by singing the three songs mentioned on the first post of this thread and we'll may take you if you're good enough.  smile

@ hungergamesfanatic: The same applies for you too. The more people we have auditioning, the better!  big_smile

@ VanillaCreme: I know I've asked you this before already, but have you finished recording your vocals for My Voice To You, When I'm Beside You and Reload?

You may have noticed that Reload does not have lyrics on its third verse, but I'll fix that right away.

Re: -'Frozen Coco' Needs A Female Singer-

Just a note about the recordings:

I recorded all of them in two parts because it's hard to get through an entire recording without Noteflight stalling.

The reason that there is silence for the first ten seconds or so of all the 'Part One' recordings is because of the song intros

Sorry that My Voice to You Part One is really loud. My mic is really strong.

I messed up a bit on 'My Voice to You' because the tempo is tricky, and I don't know if I hit all the notes right on the bridge. I'd tried to record it so many times that my voice broke >.< Anyway, here's what I've got so far:

My Voice to You Part One

My Voice to You Part Two

When I'm Beside You Part One

When I'm Beside You Part Two

I'm really sorry they're not the best quality! I LOOOOOVE When I'm Beside You. It's WAY strong than My Voice to You. I'll record Reload soon and another bonus song, maybe.

You have a beautiful, great voice, really! Plus your voice sounds really mature!  big_smile

It is true, you don't pitch the notes correctly, but I think your variation will go with the notes. Can you read music?

Will it help if I linked you to the original songs that our previous singer sang, so you can rerecord these? You seem the most efficient of our auditioners, so I hope to see your rerecorded tracks, if you can, very soon!  smile

Thanks so much for auditioning!

EDIT: Check out the first two songs here. BTW, Reload's third verse is incomplete at the moment, so you can record the rest and I'll get back to you once I'm done with the lyrics.

Thank you! I'm very flattered! Singing is one of my greatest passions, I love music and I practically live in it.

Here is Reload Part One.I stumbled through it, but I survived. (I hummed in place for Verse 3)

Unfortunately, I cannot read music. However, your suggestion sounds great. Can you please link me to the original songs? I think it would help, especially for My Voice To You.

Thank you! This has helped.

I can most likely get the new recordings by Monday at the latest. I'm very busy tomorrow, and Friday as well. I can probably rerecord ONE song today, but that's it.

Oh, and Reload is 2 posts above this post. Just Part One, though, but you can check it out! I need to go eat dinner now, but I'll be back VERY shortly!

Edit: I hope it isn't too rude of me to ask this, but what happened to the old singer?

I'll let you know when the third verse is done. How often do you log onto Scratch. If you visit it daily, that's great cos I visit it everyday and we can get everything done with very fast!  big_smile

Hope to hear the redone My Voice to You and When I'm Beside You soon too. Try to mimic the original singers notes as she pitches alright, but in your own style, if you get what I mean.  wink

Sounds much better than the first take, good job! I listened to Part 2 as well. You still aren't getting some of the correct notes in the verse though. Is it possible for you to sing exactly the same way as our original singer did (pitching, variation, etc.) because you seem unsure on how to take certain notes. You may want to sing with to the project I linked you to so that you can get a real feel for the song. The thing about vocals that makes it different from other instruments is that each of us has a different range. This makes it harder for you unfortunately, as you don't read music. But if you can imitate the same style of the original singer (that's exactly the same way she sang), it'll turn out amazing I'm certain. I suggest you focus on the parts 'walls everywhere' and pay a lot of attention to each verse to try and achieve this. This is in no way bad criticism; I'm helping you out to make this recording great!  big_smile

Right now, forget adding your own variations, but instead be confident, pronounce each word well (articulation is very important) and stick to the very way our other vocalist sang. Make it a polished recording, imagine this is the final take (though I cannot guarantee that), and you need not worry about not being able to read music. It's not that hard to imitate someone's voice, right?  smile

EDIT: I'd suggest the same things about When I'm Beside You. Mainly focus on the chorus (i.e. 'with you I feel alive...') and again, sing with the project I linked you to. Hope it's not too much!
