Welcome all new scratchers!
Today I am going to talk about scratch projects and more. Now, are you wondering why your project has hardly any views? I am going to give some great tips on making your projects popular. Not just that, but making you popular. Basically, this is how to get a good reputation on scratch
1. Make good, addicting projects
2. When you upload a project, make sure it has a cool image on the stage at the time, because that is the picture of your project people will be seeing when they find yours
3. Make a good reputation by following the community guidelines
4. Be active in the forums
5. Comment on people's projects
6. Make galleries
7. Friend others, but make sure you really want to be friends
8. Help other scratchers and sugget things instead of criticizing
9. Don't spam (it gives you a bad reputation)
10. Do collaborations with other scratchers
11. Answer "requests" from other scratchers by doing what they request
12. Advertise your projecs in the "show and tell" forums
13. Advertise your projects in a cool, colorful signature (once you become a "scratcher")
14. Remix projects
15. Thank others for nice comments on your projects (shows maturity and kindness)
16. Support other scratchers and urge them to make good, creative projects
17. Sugget helpful, new ideas in the "suggestions" forum
18. Don't necropost (post things on topics over 6 months old in the forums)
These tips are very helpful for becoming popular. Remember too, that following these will also earn you the "scratcher" status quicker. Hope this was helpful!

Well there is already a lot of stickies in this forum. Maybe this could be ITopiced or moved to FAQ.

Agreed.
And Scratch isn't about getting popular anyway. If you only join to become popular, you're not gonna get very far.

I never wanted to be famous, and I'm not famous (except on forums)

That's a good goal.

Very helpful guide, but I don't really think Scratch is about fame.

Being popular is barely a part of Scratch.

perhaps say "they can also visit the advert thread instead of resorting to spamming" (then a link to The Scratch Cat's Hideout)

To be honest with you, when I first started I wanted to be "famous." And guess what! That really didn't work... so forget fame and popularity, and just create seriously epic projects.

Scratch isn't about being popular.
Scratch is about learning to program.

I disagree, being popular isn't important on Scratch, so there's no reason this should get stickied.
It's a good topic for those who care about it, though. Good job.
