2D Scrolling Pirate Game...Ideas?
Hi Scratchers,
I need ideas for ships, swords, titles, recruits, etc. for an awesome 2D Scrolling Pirate Game I am going to make.

Medal: n00b - play for five minutes
Medal: amateur - play for 10 minutes
Medal: intermediate - play for 30 minutes
Medal: Extreme - play for 1 hour
Medal: INSANE - play for 3 hours
Swords: wooden

Hahaha Coolhogs, awesome you are actually going to do it! Okay, can I help out as a programmer? I've had experience in panther and scratch and I've made plenty of games. Including a mesh multiplayer scrolling 3d-like diablo kind of RPG. It has random terrain generation, shooting npcs, inventory, and quests. All 2.5d using snapshots of 3d sprites 
I'd like to help out.

Yes, you can help out as a programmer! Wow... Cool... Let's start by making the inventory, and then we'll do the scrolling, and all that stuff.

Okay, firstly here's an idea. I think all of the characters should be anthropomorphic animal pirates. Aka a pirate monkey that can man the sails or a pirate rhino that can use cannons. ???
I like alliteration for titles, aka if the main character is named Bart, I'd call it Bart's Buccaneer Adventure or something.
