RolePlayer Productions Coming Soon To Scratch!

Hello, everybody! I am new to scratch, but I have been working with various programming languages, mostly Python, for a while now. (five years, I believe.) Scratch programming is incredibly simple! I would enjoy meeting the community before I decide which language to stick too, so drop by and contact me on my newest project. I am currently in the process to programming a simple RPG game. I hope to see you soon!  smile

Re: RolePlayer Productions Coming Soon To Scratch!

While our community is nice, Scratch is not a good language to stick too. It is oversimplified so that young kids may understand it and cannot handle much,

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

True. They simplify it quite a lot, but there are a lot of amazing things Scratch can do.

I , however, like being formal. I feel as if it explains my personality more since you can not meet me in real life.

Yeah, You have a point... Especially, if you are making your own "scratch production" or "studio." You'd like everything to be quite formal..

I'm just used to formality. I'll try to be a bit more friendly, though. I do want people to take me seriously.

RPG isn't for Scratch, and Scratch isn't a good language to stick to, unless you're completely new to programming. It's for kids, so it has pretty high limits.
I'd suggest sticking to code, but if you really want to go with blocks, Stencyl. It's community is as nice as here (Almost every question people ask gets answered within 24 hours), and it's simple. It's harder than scratch, but you can upload it to sites other than scratch (Kong, Newgrounds, etc.), and it has less limits.
It'll be hard to change from scratch to stencyl, if you get too used, though.

Re: RolePlayer Productions Coming Soon To Scratch!

You might like to learn C++ or Java.
Scratch is really only for learning the basics of programming.

Programming is an art...
Goodbye, Scratch. I am leaving because of the exams coming up at our school, though I'll check the forums once or twice a week.

Re: RolePlayer Productions Coming Soon To Scratch!

Greetings, formal one. I am delighted to see that you are a roleplayer. As Unite mentioned, there is an abundance of RPGs here, in several forms; and there are many players: some experienced and others... less so. I personally am interested in roleplay and its potential uses for education. I would love to hear your ideas on the subject.

We're talking about programming  roll , Gallery RPGs and TBG RPGs don't count. Scratch isn't very good for RPG projects.
