One of my hobbies is, as you may have surmised, game development. I specialize in Batch Code. Batch Code can be edited on Notepad and runs in Command Prompt. It's text-based, but it's still really fun.
There are a couple of great guides online.
Does anybody else write Batch? Or maybe Visual Basic?

I know a little Batch, and I use VB sometimes. VB is sort of unrelated.

Yes, I do write batch code. I (and a few other people, like meowmeow55) made SIMPL-DOS out of it. There is also a topic for it here on Scratch in the old Miscellaneous forum (which based on your registered date, you know nothing about).

That's a little off topic.

I don't know anything about it.

Huh, cool. I don't suppose that you'd post the source code of one of your favorite projects?

I made this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37687009/WASD.BAT and this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37687009/Underlined-Text.bat.
The second one isn't really a game, but the first one can be used in a game, although it would probably take 100 years to write something with that code. I am also making an OS in batch, but I need a good command-line encryption program so I can store passwords in the database.

Batch only works on Windows so I won't bother learning it

I know a little Batch, but only a little.
I use it to create applications which remote-shutdown my siblings' computers.
I also use it to amuse myself watching them click on little executables which annoy them with endless popups or start random programs.

You should know that that's illegal.

I wasn't under that impression. There are many different Text Editors out there. Do any of them work for your computer?

Oh! Well, I'm learning something new every day!

If I am not mistaken, Mac has a modified version of bash (The batch-equivalent for Unix and Linux). The commands aren't the same, but are pretty similar.
