Call of Duty: WaW

I decided to set up a thread about COD: World at War. It is a great game and shouldn't be underestimated because of its outdatedness. I play it instead of a newer version such as MW3 as I do not see the point in buying an 80$ game when I can get an older one that is essentially the same game with a different title at a more  reasonable price.

So for any of you here that play this cool game, you can discussificate it here.  big_smile

And if you don't, well, YOU HAVE DISHONORED THIS ENTIRE UNIT.

First three are the only good ones IMHO, but don't let that stop you.

I actually enjoy older CoD games, as they are less dramatic and are more about just enjoying the game, although I want to try Black Ops.

I liked them because they didn't spend 99.9% of the budget on multiplayer, and focused more on single player. Single player will always be better than multiplayer.

Unless of course you like angry twelve-year-olds that think they're all that.

I'm 12 and I'm a girl, and people like that on the game anger me to no end. I was playing today and there were two 10 year olds arguing  tongue

It's pretty good. I still enjoy BF3 more than CoD.

Yes, online gameplay was rare back then  tongue
And also because when CoD first started out, they were more about just making the game enjoyable to play; now they're simply trying to make it as dramatic as possible.

This is Goldeneye.

It's undoubtedly one of the largest influences on the FPS genre since Doom.

Re: Call of Duty: WaW

I used to have it, then (the shame!) it finally ended it's days. Now I'm stuck with multiplayer-drenched games which have hyperactive children screaming out swears and random gibberish. Although playing split-screen is always a laugh with your friends, at least you know that there isn't anyone hacking.

Yep - there aren't many people playing it now. When I go on theres only about 6000 people online, which isn't saying much considering the fact that there are 6 or 7 billion people in the world.

It's honestly quite sad that this game is dying out  sad

Yeah, when I had it a few years ago, it was fun considering a majority of the people playing at the time didn't have headsets.

I agree; today I was playing the game and I was in the lobby, there were four small kids, maybe 10 years old at the most - and they were all yammering unintelligible stupidity at the same time. >.<

do I really have to explain this to EVERYONE? multiplayer is an enjoyable experience, learn how to mute people if the're annoying. Anyway COD is not all screaming 12 year olds, why don't you ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME and then come back. Stop judging a game from one bad multiplayer match.

I know I'm eventually going to get banned, but I'm going to ride out on a endless, shining wave of logic.

Re: Call of Duty: WaW

This is what I hear from everyone on this forum about COD, "I can't figure out how to mute people so the game is horrible because I annoy people for some reason and they yell at me and are therefore gibberish spewing 12 year olds." NOBODY CARES (or atleast I don't)

It's fine to have an opinion, just stop trying to stuff it down everyone's throats.

Re: Call of Duty: WaW

I don't know it is for xbox 360, but on ps3 all you have to do is press select to bring up the scoreboard and use x to mute people.
