Eco-warriors? Anti-capitalist? NO WAY, HOSAY!
The muppets was a great movie, and The Lorax looks good.

Imagine what that guy must've thought about Balto! Well, for a children's film, it is very racist (in a way).

I like the original, not the 3D movie.

I love this movie.

Yeah.

And whoever says that humans being the biggest threat to nature is false is an idiot.

The Lorax is probably the best childrens movie ever.

My little cousin just saw it and is now talking about saving trees and not cutting them down.

If that's a bad thing, then Christmas is a holiday based on greed.

Seriously, those people are stupid.

Also, Not to start anything here, but did anyone else think the young Once-Ler looked like Willy Wonka in his coat, glasses, and top hat? (The new wonka, not the gene wilder one.)

Re: What did you think of "The Lorax"?

I don't want to see this movie, because it doesn't look very good to me. When my mom took me to the movies yesterday, I saw "The Secret World of Arrietty" (great movie, BTW).

I do however, think it's good that a message of conserving the enviornment is in a movie like this. I think this is a good way to spread the message, even though they could have made the movie much much better.

Re: What did you think of "The Lorax"?

I think that recent Dr. Seuss movies overall have kind of been a disaster and stray waaaaaay too far from the books in order to make a full length film.

Re: What did you think of "The Lorax"?

I think that it's taken the soul out of Seuss and replaced it with merchandising and an attempt at making the maximum amount of money possible by catering to kids' wants. (An ihop breakfast with a Lorax THEME? REALLY?) And really? Zac Efron?

That aside, though, it IS cute and the cgi has a lot of work put into it.

And it DOES have a moral, but..

Not really sure what to think  hmm

tongue  The Truffula Forest reminds me of the Chocolate Room, so I think they might've actually used it for inspiration

I loved that movie. It brought my inner-child out of my body. It brought to those memories of when I used to read Dr. Suess's books in bed.

I watched The Secret World of Arrietty and The Lorax. The Lorax was a good movie, but it kind of made me uncomfortable, partly because the movie theater was mainly little kids and old people (this was true with both of them). Also, The Secret World of Arrietty has almost nothing to do with the environment - it's about (spoilers) an insane maid who tries to kill things because "they exist and sometimes take pins and sugar cubes."How did he get to that conclusion >_>

The actual scene is kind of creepy/disturbing. It shows the horrible effects of the factory on the animals, along with a GIANT 50 FOOT ONCE-LER.
