Wooohoo! Highfive!
Yay! I <3 the books!
The movies are good, but the books are so much better. Orlando Bloom as Legolas is soo cute though!! :3 I was talking to this guy (Note that) in my class, and I noticed that he liked the movies, so, involuntarily of course XD, I asked him, "Isn't Orlando Bloom just so adorable?" XDD

I'm a girl. I'm still throwing up of gross-out from that post.
LEGOLAS IS AN ACTION ELF NOT A MALE MODEL.
And in other movies he's a pirate!
And in real life he is an actor.
The end.
Sheesh people.

Actually, I liked Book IV the least (but it was still really good). My personal favorite is Book III, but The Fellowship of the Ring was really good. As was the aftermath of the Pelennor Fields. And, you know, EVERY OTHER MOMENT OF THE TRILOGY (wow, my spelling fails today; I just almost spelled 'of' as 'ove' and 'fails' as 'failse'. I usually spell pretty well when I'm not on SWBF2 <so I don't get chat killed>).
I think that Tom Bombadil is really Eru Iluvatar.

You know, Hobbits aren't ever mentioned in the Silmarillion except where it gives a brief account of the Third and early Fourth Age. By the way, I anticipate confusion with F.A. being First and Fourth (and maybe Fifth, if traditional history doesn't kick in before then) all being F.A.s.
BTW, every time I here Saruman, I just think "DiZ!"

My favorite character is Legolas! He rocks some serious socks! XD The best part is when in the 2nd movie in the battle of Helm's Deep Legolas slides down the steps on the shield while shooting off like 5 arrows! EPICNESS AWARD! XD
Ikr? Idk how Legolas uncovered a cheat for unlimited arrows, but he's definitely the cutest hacker ever! :3
Uh, not really. Remember when Gimli and Legolas were comparing their Orc-scores, and Legolas said 'but alas! for now I must gripe for spent arrows, for all mine are spent' or something along those lines. I think I got the wording fairly accurate.

You so right.
BTW, J.R.R. Tolkien designed Ea (I don't have a keyboard with a diacritics available right now) as a full mythology for England.

Let's act like we can all be respectful of religion and see it the way others do for a second.
Actual occurrences weren't meant to be an epic plot were they?
Well technically Tolkien meant the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit and Silmarillion and Children of Hurin and Ea in general as a mythology for England. So yeah, it's sort of like a Bible. Sort of ironic.

I read The Hobbit recently. It was a really good book. The best chapter was Riddles in the Dark though.
I love Gollum <3.
Now I am reading Fellowship of the Ring. It's a great book, although I just started. I never watched the movies though, but I plan to see The Hobbit when it comes out.

I found the concept of the Straight Road (not sure which book that was in; it was hinted at in the Lord of the Rings books- the 'secret path that only elves can find' and probably the Silmarillion, and likely Unfinished Tales; I learned from the wiki ) very interesting. For those who don't know, Arda (the planet on which Middle-earth resides) was originally created flat and symmetrical. (Warning: Silmarillion stuff coming up.) When Melkor attacked, the world was marred, and the symmetry ruined. Later, when Men tried to land in Valinor, Iluvatar took Aman (the island where Valinor is) off of Arda, turned Arda spherical, and kept Valinor outside of Arda. But there is still a flat path, free from the curvature of the earth, than only an Elf can sail, and so reach the near-forgotten land of Valinor. In the Lord of the Rings, someone mentioned how after the Grey Havens, the Elves would travel a path that only they could find as a final resting place. I suspect that this references the fact that Elves go to the Halls of Mandos when they die, which is located on Valinor.

You saw all of the Lord of the Rings movies when you were THREE?!?!
LOTR is like PG-13! Its violent! It has bloddiness!
Or did you see the like 1980's animated version? Because if you did, that version freaks me out. "IM THE MOUTH OF SAURON/ SUPER HERO BATMAN DUDE!"

For anybody who hasnt seen anything from the cartoon one, heres an image of the Mouth of Sauron from the cartoon one: http://witchkingofangmar.weebly.com/upl … 9_orig.pngXD I wasn't exactly three! I exaggerate sometimes, I was seriously around seven or something. And no, I didn't see the 1980's animated version.
EDIT:
THAT'S the Mouth of Sauron in the Animated Version? XDD
YES
BASK IN IT'S HORROR
