This is the Scratch Book Library! How this is going to work is like this: we will review books so others can get ideas on what books to read. For any book you review, please post it according to this format:
Title:
Author:
Genre:
Short Summary:
Recommended Age Group:
For an example, I'll review Incarceron.
Title: Incarceron
Author: Catherine Fisher
Genre: Fantasy
Short Summary: A boy named Finn has lived in the prison of Incarceron for as long as he remembers. One day he finds a strange key that lets him communicate with a girl from the Outside. The key may hold the key to Escaping, and so his quest begins.
Recommended Age Group: 12 and up
NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT PUT A RATING ON THE BOOK. This is so people will choose a book on their own and not be influenced by others' opinions, like selecting a book at a library.
I will put a list of the titles, with links to the posts once people post reviews. It will be organized alphabetically by the titles.

Lol, I read the title as "Scratch Block Libary" at first, and I was like "Grr, when will people learn this forum is for things outside of Scratch?"
Title: When I Was Joe
Author: Karen David
Genre: Action I guess. I'll let you work it from the summary, I suck at genres
Short Summary: This kid called Tyler witnesses a murder, and he has to go into witness protection. His new name is Joe. His new life isn't actually that bad, as he's really popular. He then tells a girl called Claire that he's not really called Joe and he tells her everything, such as the murder. Meanwhile his mum makes friends with Claire's dad until he gets shot in the head, which is where the book ends.
Recommended Age Group: 14-ish. It has some bad language and a lot of violence. (I'm such a rebel, I read it at 11 )
BTW I hope that summary wasn't too imformative. I've just realised I've practically given the whole book away.

Title: Code Orange
Author: Caroline B. Cooney
Genre: Suspense/thriller
Short Summary: High-school slacker Mitty Blake feels less than excited to write a term paper on the depressing topic of contagious disease, but he doesn't want to flunk Biology. He needs at least four books for his bibliography. His mother sells impressive libraries to rich people, and he decides to grab some old books from her boxes of them. Mitty comes across some useful books that would help for his topic, smallpox--a book so old it was written by doctors who had actually seen this disease while it spread. And inside this book in an envelope containing VM scabs. VM; variola major; smallpox.
Could Mitty be infected with smallpox and wipe out New York?
Recommended Age Group: Ages 12+
Wow, I just made one of the best books ever sound so lame

Cool! Did you get this idea from my index?
Not really. I originally was thinking about trying to set up a Scratch book club, but then that idea evolved into a collection of book reviews, like a library.

Title: The Outsiders
Author: S. E. Hinton
Genre: Um.... Action I guess.
Short Summary: A boy named Ponyboy is a greaser and is always in the fear of getting beat up by the "nice" kids, the socs. (The socs; short for something about "socially accepted" ) Ponyboy and his friend Johnny end up in quite a mess when they go for a walk in the park at about midnight one night to "Cool off" after a fight with Ponyboy's brother. They meet the socs, and it's five to two. One soc starts drowning Ponyboy, and Johnny kills him to save Ponyboy. Now the two boys have to run for their lives, seeing that Johnny killed someone. They hide from the police, in an old abandoned church. What happens next? Find out in The Outsiders. (Sorry, that was REALLY long.
Recommended Age Group: 12+
