What's the maximum width for a signature?

I know that they can't be more than 150 pixels tall, but how many pixels wide can they be?

I believe (and I'm not sure) its 400.

I think it's somewhere around 550-600 pixels.

I believe it's 512 pixels.
My signature is 500px x 100px exactly.
