I don't know if you mean comments by "messages". If so, I don't think it's a bug; someone probably just commented the same thing 4 times in a row. You can flag it of someone keeps commenting the same thing multiple times.

Sometimes, the Scratch website freezes when you are commenting. When that happens, a user often clicks the Submit button multiple times in frustration, which sends multiple http requests, and ends up putting the comment many times. If it's your project, you can always delete the duplicates with the (x) button where the reply button is.

That happened to me once. No big deal, delete the comments.

It's probably a glitch that s/he's talking about, it's happened to me multiple times when I reply to a comment, I reply once, but 2-3 replies appear.
