Hello, I'm SUPERSONIC3000 and I'm just wondering what the guidlines are for Scratch projects. Recently one of my projects got removed for being inappropriate and I just want to know what exactly makes a project inappropriate. I understand that my project was removed for some sexual inferences, but what I want to know about is language. Am I allowed to have curse words in my projects if I censor them. Like if I only showing the first letter of the word is it still considered inappropriate? Do I have to censor them 100% like in comics? Or do I have to omit cursing completely. I realize that this is a family website, but I just want to know for future reference because that was one of my first projects and it was a little painful to see it was removed and I don't want to go through that again.

Here's what I've inferred from being on Scratch:
Guns: discouraged
Blood: discouraged
Language: no swears or sexual references; I'm not sure there are official guide lines to implied swears

Hey SUPERSONIC3000, there are Community Guidelines in place that give an idea of what is and what isn't allowed on the Scratch website. A general way of thinking about it - if the content is not appropriate and can't be shown to everyone, then it's likely that it will get flagged and censored.
In the case of text censoring, partial censoring isn't okay. That's because even with partial censoring, it's sometimes easy for someone to figure out what the whole word is. So it's better to have the words replaced with text garble like %@$&^%# as is done with most family-friendly comics.
