Pokemon inspired game
If I make a completely original game, and want to say it is inspired by Pokemon, is that violating intellectual property of the pokemon company?

Nope, you can be inspired by Pokemon or any other company/idea that pre-exists and not be violating a law. However, using their images, or any sort of stealing is illegal.
