Performance in flash (100,000 without anything extra) is so much better than java (30 with any other scripts). So, yes it's very good.

I think that the new Flash player is good. I was playing a game online, using Java, and it was running fairly slowly. I switched from Java to Flash and it ran a bit faster.

I like how the flash player does not allow sprites to exit the screen. I also like how my games never have any lag. I would like to see a full screen mode, though.

There is a full screen mode

1. Takes a bit longer to load.
2. All 3 buttons work.
3. Fullscreen works (Firefox 11).
4. Flash works MUCH better (faster) than java.
5. No errors so far.

I am using IE9, Windows 7 Home Premium, Flash Player 10 and the full screen doesn't work for me. It shows it in default size at the top left hand corner even though I clicked the full screen button.

That's very odd... Have you got another browser that you can try it on? If it still doesn't work, then it's probably your computer

in my opinion, it is really a pain. I have not the greatest internet connection, so my pages low relatively slowly. Plus, it takes literally FOREVER to load, and sometimes it plain won't. I use the ubuntu 11.10 operating system, with firefox as my internet browser. I tried it on chromium, and every time I loaded a scratch page, chromium crashed. I take preference to the java player, even though I dislike applets, in my opinion, they are way better than the flash one. sometimes, my projects even glitch in the flash player, but run fine in the java one.

Maybe you don't have the latest version? That's the only explanation I can think of

For me it's the other way around they glitch in java. Flash is super fast and most of my projects need that. Those kinds of projects don't work in Java - well they do work but are exceedingly slow.

you joined scratch just in february. of course you like the player, because you started out with it. believe it or not, I started scratch in 2009. Its come a long ways, and in my opinion, the flash player is it's downfall.

Their first forum post was in February. That doesn't mean they made an account in February.

My project broke it! Try "scratchGravity v1" in both players. The "+" / "-" buttons act differently in each player.
