Getting back on topic, I'm not a really good cook because I have never attempted to cook. My parents wouldn't let me use the stove. Microwaves FTW!!!
Once my mom bought a whole box of cookies or something, and I ate one and thought it wasn't chewy enough and the chocolate was really gritty and didn't melt. I thought if I microwaved it for a while, it would get warmer and melty.
The result? Well, I put my cookie into a bowl and the bowl had chocolate all over the side (the chocolate chips somehow oozed all over it) and the cookie broke into crumbs when I picked it up.
Also, our stove malfunctions a lot of times because my parents weren't paying attention. Once we were boiling water to cook dumplings, but then the boiled water started bubbling all over, a huge flame ignited, and there was this really loud noise

I concur.
Your use of proper English rather than that horrible "American English" hullabaloo is simply magnificent, good sir.

I do realise the fact that British English is a most smashing variety of jargon.

Your theories do prove most smashing; but I cannot contradict nor agree with your statement.

Other than that, I'm OK, not very good but I make good chocolate chip cookies.Once I made chocolate chip cookies on Christmas, and my entire family got diarrhea.
:OOOOOO
What on earth did you do to the cookies?
Recipe?
How interesting.
I'm a very smashing cook (thank ButterToast for introducing me to that SMASHING word), but I fail at baking.
I made oatmeal chocolate cookies once.
I never attempted to make cookies again.
And for the record, adding maple syrup on top does not make it better.
NEVER... MAKE... COOKIES.... AGAIN.

Once I was making lemonade and I didn't know how much sugar to put in and I figured I could always add a little more if it was a little sour so I started with one small spoonful and tasted it. I guess it wasn't a disaster just really sour lemonade.

Alright, let us get back on topic. The subject itself is smashing, more smashing than the word "smashing." I might get into the smashing habit of putting it in every sentence. Don't you think that would be smashing? :3

Yeah, lemonade needs to have a lot more sugar than you expect (unless you use Meyer lemons, which are less sour but hard to find). The best way is to make simple syrup - a 1:1 ratio of sugar and water, melted together. Then you add as much as your heart desires. Also, adding some lemon zest gives it a nice, sort of rose-y flavor.
@wolvesstar97: Maple syrup might not help, but you know what does? Ice cream. Lots of it, to wash away your sorrow.

Pancakes are a condescending lot. I remember once standing in queue in Oxford, one actually asked me whether I were stale! Stale, indeed! I was baked with soft dough containing the finest of natural preservatives. I hurried away in a huff, never to consort with their kind again.

Good sir, do explain to me the use of the smashing expression that portrays a face with one pupil disturbingly more dilated than its neighbour!

Are you serious? I'm not trying to be mean, but you are acting quite odd.

What do you mean? My verbalization is just jolly smashing, thank you very much. I can't imagine what you are on about.

One other time I tried making lemonade a couldn't find the cane sugar and so I was like "Whatever I,ll just use brown sugar how different can it be?" As it turns out, very different. The brown sugar wouldn't dissolve. Good thing I found the right kind of sugar!

That's because white is usually more refined. Brown sugar also tastes different, too.
You could actually make the brown sugar dissolve more easily if the lemonade was warmer... but warm lemonade tastes bleh.
