I used a blank template for the css because I would've written pretty much the same thing anyways.
So, not that quick.

Can you make the main text white? I think black on blue is barely readable. I still read it, and the content is great!

What browser are you using?
Use Chrome or Firefox if you're not- Opera and IE failed the acid3 color rendering test.

I feel like eating pickles on ziggleworp day is an excellent addition.
