This is rather like Borrego6165's advert thread, which has recently been renamed to Project Club: The Scratch Cat's Hideout...

It can be used to draw attention, yes. I had looked at a directory called dmoz the other day, and that's what inspired me to make this. I guess it could, but I'm going to call it an index.

now does anyone have submissions to be indexed?

wow! thanks! sorry about what I've said, if it seemed as if I were sounding bullyish. Sometimes I get a bit carried away with my work. (I created business cards for my scratch collaboration lol)

How about my Android simulator made in panther?
hmmm, that's something I have to think about, because when I made this, my intention was to index projects made in scratch, hence the name scratch project index, I'm still gonna think about this though.

it's a shame there are no projects left. I haven't had a new thing in days! when i first started i had to add projects without asking people by typing in loads of tags into the search bar. it worked, only 45 out of the total are "piracy copy", which seemed a lot at first. I'm hoping that you'll understand this and not take this the wrong way:
(PS. I'm listening to some really sad music as I'm writing this, so it might sound a little Hollywoody, like a serious moment in a film) When I made the thread I knew that not everyone would want their projects advertising. I knew that there would be a point when no one would add theirs any more, because everyone who cared about the thread would have already added everything they own. When this point moment would rise, the thread would turn from the busy and popular advertiser into an old archives section, when generations of new scratchers could see old projects at an easy place, stickied on the top of show and tell. Now because of the remixes, that can never happen. Instead, it will fall down to the depths of the show and tell forum, for eternity. Now you see why I got so stressed with the remixes? Now you see why I cried when it was taken off?
Ever since I had a go at the first person, someone reported it, CheddarGirl found out, told Paddle2See most likely, and now I've lost my advert thread. Well, my archives. I will admit, me "shouting" at the creators was the thing which started it all off. It's my own * fault, the scratch team should have banned me off the forums or something. That's why I gave you the advice of adding "piracy" projects rather than having a go at you for making an index, I respect why scratchers have done it now.
So my last piece of advice is, if this does get famous, don't make the same mistake I made. Use it to teach others about making their own indexes of projects. I'm hoping that when I eventually leave scratch someday, a new generation of scratchers will hopefully keep my archives bumped, and who knows? Yours might be too. What I'm really saying is, good luck and I hope you take my advice. Perhaps not the "piracy projects" bit, but I'm sure something will come up.
Hope you read the full thing, Borrego6165.

no! it's just that i couldn;t come up with a good name for them. basically, instead of waiting for scratchers to request projcts to be added, you look around the site and add them yourself. it takes effort and patience, but that's what i did and look at mine now! don;t do it too much as some may not like it. i stuck to older projects where the scratcher might not even come on the site anymore to check, rather than recent ones.
