Project bumping/Tell your friends!

When you post a project that's an update to an older one, it doesn't show up in their friends' "my friends' projects" category nor the "new projects" category.

                  --IDEA 1--                                           --IDEA 2--

What if you could "Bump" projects to    |  What if you could "share" projects to
reappear in those places?                   |  appear in a few NEW categories;
Obviously a limit would be imposed       |  "What my friends have shared" and "Most
(3 bumps every 3 days to start?  Also, if |   shared"?
the project has been modified you      |   There would still be a limit imposed, but
could get a free bump for it?)              |   only on "sharing" your OWN projects!
                                                       |
You could also bump to strike up some |  ...Y'know, there probably has to be another
attention about it, hopefully earning    |  term for it, but other than that this feels
more views on a neglected project.     |  like it could be pretty solid when used right.

Personally I think one of these ideas would be very useful.

I'd like to get some input on these ideas, please tell me if there are any flaws in the systems.

Goodbye, Scratch. I am leaving because of the exams coming up at our school, though I'll check the forums once or twice a week.

Re: Project bumping/Tell your friends!

That seems like it would be pretty annoying... unless of course you can only bump it like once a year or something but even then there wouldn't really be much of a point. So, no.

Re: Project bumping/Tell your friends!

Updated projects should show in My Friends Latest. Other bumping; not so sure about.

Re: Project bumping/Tell your friends!

No.  hmm  Projects are not meant to be bumped, then 'newest projects' would not necessarily be rlly 'new'

If you are reading this, please read to the end, because if you don't you won't know what's at the end. Don't just skip to the end though otherwise you won't be able to read the middle, which is most important. Now you must be wondering why you just read all that, the reason is you may have not noticed something, read it again and see if you notice it this time  smile

It's called "new projects" for a reason.

This is COMPLETELY different.
Look at mine more carefully, it doesn't suggest a new section nor anything related to views at all apart from possibly increasing them.

Edit:  Hmmm... Maybe there could be a within scratch "sharing" system that allowed people to show people who have friended them what they really like.

Changing main post and requesting title change now...

Re: Project bumping/Tell your friends!

I support none of them. You could just "bump spam" and "tell spam".

You could then endlessly bump it by adding a hide button to a sprite again and again and again. You're project would cover all of the newest projects. Do not support
