Re: sound recording

If you simply want to record a sound and then incorporate it into a Scratch project, that is easy:  Use a sound recording software (either Audacity or the built-in Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder) to record the sound.  Save in PCM WAV format and use Scratch's Import button to get the sound into your project.  Or, even easier, use Scratch's built-in sound recorder...

Now, if you want to use a scratch script to record a wave and have it perminantly part of your project, I don't think that is possible as there are no blocks for sound recording.

Did you know that Scratch also has its own sound recorder? I use it a lot.

The thing I hate about that is that even a 2 second recording comes up as a 3000 kb sound.

Dear Scratch Users,
I'm done with scratch, or at least making projects. I have made one last big game, thats both fun and teaches a lesson about water. It'd mean a lot if you gave me feedback.                              http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/bosox397/569201
