Hello, this is hungergamesfanatic (HGF)
I would like to be a curator because I would love to make people who aren't very popular on Scratch be known. I would also curate funny projects. I would include projects such as: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/wolves4ever10/2360239
I will curate projects, that are special and have something unique about them, projects that took a lot of work and are well made, projects that are good but didn't take much work that still deserve more views. I will especially choose the projects that are extraordinarily good, but have few views.
Projects that I won't curate are:
Anything by my friends just because their my friends, I might curate them if they are very well made and still don't have many views.
Anything that was on the front page recently.
Nothing by a very well-known Scratcher especially if they have been on the front page in the last 2 weeks.
If someone tries to bribe me I will definitely NOT curate it.
I would really like to be a curator after mewkid but if I don't get the position next, congrats to to whoever does
Thanks,
HGF

Hey Scratch Team,
Intro
I would love to be a curator. Of course I can't just put that and expect to be a curator. The best time of year that I could be curator is in two weeks on March 18. I have always wanted to be a curator and I know some great projects that have 1-5 views and they are one of the best projects I have ever seen.
About Me
I first started Scratch when I was 9 years old (my username was abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz). I knew nothing about programing. Though over the years I have gotten better and better at programing. Then I got bumped up to a Scratcher. Everyday I would look at the section where it said "Projects Selected by________" and I thought, what would it take to become a Curator. Well I realized that and that is why I am posting this Speech. I am currently working at the Gaming Archive picking projects to become either 1st, 2nd or 3rd. A lot of people love the projects I pick.
Projects I would Curate
Well I would pick projects that have less then 100 views. And the type of projects I would Curate would be games and Animations. And I would not pick projects that have 0 sprites and 0 scripts and just show the Scratch Cat. And also I wouldn't pick projects because the I like the user a lot, because it is a good game. And I would not pick for people who are popular. Like Scratchers who have over 1000 view on every other project they do. And the Animations would be funny, not boring animations. What a lot of people have been doing is making threads where the title is "Get Your Projects Curated". I might do this.
I hope you take this into appreciation.
Thanks

I'm glad that you realize the rules that you have to be a Scratcher. But I don't think you should apply until you are one.

Wow, this sounds interesting! I would definitely like to become Curator (for a while). I want projects to be on the front page that DESERVE to be on the front page, not just animations that everybody finds funny. I would like to curate this project http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/RHY3756547/842216 because it is very realistic, like a game from the Internet. And I would like to curate this project http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Shanesta/9710 because it is very fun, and I can tell a lot of work was put into it. I would curate projects that are very good, not the little animations that are very popular.
You might not want to curate those- they already have over 1000 views

Hi! I would love being curator, just like everybody else would love to be one. This is my second time to apply here. I would curate only games, AMVs , etc. That look like they are very hard worked on, I would also curate stories that have a good meaning and teach lessons (such as not to boast, be polite, kind, etc.) . Games that have about over 30 veiws will not be curated if I get to be a curator. I would also not curate voilance and war games (only ones that are okay for young children) . AMVs that I would curate, won't contain any bad music, or words.
So, that is my second apply speech
Thanks!

I'd like to be curator so I can share my love of science. I would try to especially choose less viewed projects that are still good.

Forget my last post - it was very short and unclear.
I really want to become curator. The main genre projects which I would curate would be games with excellent physics and seem quite realistic. This is one of my favorite types of project as it is so easy to download, play around with the variables and perhaps learn a thing or two. Along with this, I will also curate anything to my tastes (funny / good physics), especially if I think has a small number of views for the effort put in (derived from script count, graphics and the two extremes of lag). Of course, I'd try not to use something that has already been front paged or popularied.
Also, although it doesn't show from my join date, I have been doing scratch since 2.5 years ago at school.
Thanks for taking the time to read this
-John

I would love to be a curator.
I may not have very good projects, but I have a fairly good taste in games... just look at my favorites! I joined Scratch two years ago. I'm finally getting the hang of the forums, the projects, etc. I don't want fame, I just want to have this opportunity to show people some new projects that they haven't seen before. I do not have many forum posts, that's because I spend 90% of my time looking at projects by other kids around the world. My favorite kinds of projects? I love platforms, and the occasional dress up. I love small characters and big games, with lots of levels. Every day, I'm on Scratch for at least 20 min. I think I would make a very good curator.

ABC 123 I like projects that are easy to read and understand as well as "scratch appropriate" which is what i mean when i say every eye in the world should be allowed to see this.

Isn't it that you can apply every time a new curator shift begins?
Nope.

How are you notified when you become a curator?

Hi! Lucascucas here, and I think I would make a great curator. I could represent the technology and demand side of games. I understand Scratch has faults, and users will have faults, but it's what the users do with the limited scripts that I will judge them on.
I am fairly new to Scratch, but I understand most of its principles and know how it feels to be left in the dust because your scripts were somewhat new on a great project. I will include newbies and other smaller projects.
So I think I would be a great Scratch curator. I would love to pick amazing projects. So please, select me for a curator.

^ Not really relevant, but I'll tell you.
Paddle2See or one of the other mods comments on one of your new(er?) project, and directs you to the Curator Oriention project, where you can ask questions, and find out when your shift starts. You don't get notified right away if your speech is accepted. I waited about half a year before mine was.
