I am making a search engine in a scratch project. It might take awhile, if you need explaining or if you just wanna talk about its features, ask me! I am planning for it to show you games that are simular to the keyword that you typed in.

How are you going to search for projects online with a scratch project? Or do you mean you're going to store a ton of Scratch projects in one place? In which case, you should probably set a limit on file size for projects at your request here, otherwise imnotbob is right, you'll run out of 10MB really fast.

Anyways, I already run an advert thread with "most projects in one place" and it's very famous. I don't think we need "most projects in two places"

Are you going to try to compile a ton of projects in one project? Are you going to try to search the Scrath website with a Scratch project? What exactly are you trying to do?

Oh, thanks. It makes more sense now.

Here's a problem with this: it's the product itself. If you wanted to search for a project, you could use the search box in the top corner, it would be quicker and easier to use. Is there a need for this?

I dont know about others thoguhts but... thanks for raining on my paraid. I want to test out the script. I was wondering if I could use it with other things. Its the script that matters... not what the project does.
Also, the search doesnt come up with everything.

if you type in a tag, then click "projects" to filter it, then if that tag exists you'll find projects very easily. and it's parade.

If I understand correctly, you're trying to put together a searchable database?
I had a similar idea a little while ago, except I was going to fill mine with television shows. You could then search for settings, character types, or plot devices, and then see all the different shows that have those things in common.
Is that kind of what you are going for?

i'm only telling you how the search box works, and how it is far quicker then trying to use a project which could spend ages running through thousands of lists. Instead of wasting time on that you could make games and get quite popular, or perhaps help people on the forums or do other things. I'm only giving you ideas of how to spend your time on scratch more wisely.
