Graphics look good! Thanks for putting those together, applejack. I'm on Spring Break now, so I'll have some time to work on the code (my teachers haven't assigned a completely ridiculous amount of work this time).
Just a suggestion: What if the character looked like an 8th note (a guy with a bandanna). And I think the level end could be a double bar line, (we could have repeat signs for teleports). I'm still thinking about what the start should be... Maybe a key + time signature or something like that?

Yeah! I don't have break yet. D: I think an eitgth note looks more like someone holding up a flag... Do you want a whole note instead? Idea: You could fall into "hole" notes!

An inverted sixteenth note with a little face and legs!

Ideas:
1) amcerbu, maybe you should ignore sloped tiles till later. Let's get stuff going, perfection can wait.
2) applejack, artistically, how about we have 4 backgrounds: one for each season. Then I'll compose 4 themes, a sad one for winter, a happy for spring, a fast for summer, and, er... I dunno... for fall. Then we only need four levels, but each one is really ornate.

How about scary for winter instead, and then we can have the sad song for fall?

Yeah, sounds good. Also, the major storyline could be that someone stole Mozart's last piece's sheet music and we need to get it back, or whatever. For Winter, I was thinking of something like In the Hall of the Mountain King (Greig) or Imperial March (think Star Wars). My idea was based on World of Goo.

How does this storyline match that of World of Goo? (I love World of Goo) We could have sakura petals in the spring, and bees... or (my sisters' ideas) birds and/or dandilions in the summer.

Seasons, not the storyline, match WoG.

Music's fine. I'm inspiring myself with Halo and Star Wars for Winter.

+1 @ the
But please, would you mind posting what you have already? I don't want to point out mistakes in a fully completed one; it's betted to catch 'em early.
