Do you really think the Scratch Team will even consider this? You're gonna need more than "please" to convince them; why do you want it back? What's wrong with the new layout?

And you didn't need to make a whole new thread about it; you should've just posted in the thread in Announcements.

Thy wouldn't do this because they got dumb stuff like "what color shoe laces do you wear"(I just made that up). They want reasonable discussion that refers to human knowledge. Bit I want them back too, but it'll never happen. ;(
