bump

Oh my god.
I was just listening to this, and it made me think of Glaedr.

It was like he was singing it to Eragon, Saphira, Arya, etc.

Oh yes. Murtagh doesn't die! Neither does Thorn!

Murtagh is one of my few favourite characters. I feel so much sympathy for him.

Well if you wanted honesty, that's all you had to say. I never want to let you down or have you go, it's better off this way.

Re: Eragon

I was reading the 4th and final book when a specific line intrigued me (<-- see mom, I have nice vocabulary) it said
what is time, but motion, and what is motion, but heat
That statement could be seen as true.
So I have a question
Would heat be the answer to how to warp time?

*Spoiler* I was actually disappointed, Angeline never explained how she did that and Eragon never figured it out. I was waiting for that moment where he kills Galbatorix  by freezing time.

The end with Thorn and Glaedr and then the Twilight thing made me laugh so hard I couldn't even output the sound. XD

Re: Eragon

I love Eragon! In my opinion, all books are better than their movies. The movies... they just don't follow the original story line.

Oh, u evil king and your haxxing soldiers! Its like one of those videogames where you get shot down to 1 hp and your character is just walking around, not limping, not crawling, not bleeding out...
As for the movie? VOMIT. VOMITVOMITVOMIT. I mean, they left out tons of plot elements, changed Brom's death, killed Sloan... I have this theory that the guy who directed this movie only read the first book.

let's start off shall we
parentless teenage boy lives with his uncle
who's house is burned down
but luckily he's rescued by an old man and taken on a quest to defeat the evil king
but whoops the old man dies
but not before teaching the boy a mystical art!

But Galbatorix isn't his father, he doesn't even fight the king in the first book, doesn't even see him, actually, Brom is assassinated, while Obi sacrifices himself, they take place in totally different time periods, and he isn't born with the mystical art because of his heritage, he acquires it through finding a rock in the middle of a mountain. There are no dragons in Star Wars, and the 'magic' is limited to mind control and weak telekinesis, where in Eragon, it does everything. The two plots are just your everyday Young-charrie-finds-something-and-becomes-hero stories, and all stories with that theme have a few common plot elements. That doesn't mean they were copied. Also (Spoiler alert) Obiwon isn't Luke's father.

-_-
the plots were very similar

Re: Eragon

The plot gets really confusing after Eragon because there are all these family ties, new characters, events, and at first I was seriously lost. Now I get it all, and I love the books!

Also, I think that it's weird that Inheritance has two names. The most common one is Inheritance, but on the inside page I saw, "Inheritance"
                                                        "or The Vault of Souls"
Seriously?
I think that "The Vault of Souls" fits in better, but it's sort of traditional for each title of the series to consist of one word, so Inheritance became the main title. I don't even see how it fits in with the book.

Well...
That's all true, and I honestly don't think that it's that much like Star Wars. There both very different (but they're both awesome).
