btw, it's origami.
origami only requires folding, while papercrafts is just cutting out the surface area of a figure and gluing it together. you can make a cube easily using a papercraft template, but following origami instructions to make a cube would be hard.
however, origami cranes are easier than papercraft cranes for the intricate lines do not need to be cut out.
