Error: could not find module vm-sound-pulse - Ubuntu 9.10 - 64bits
Hi,
I'm trying to install scratch in Ubuntu 9.10 64 Bits with the follow command:
sudo dpkg --force-architecture -i ./scratch_1.4.0.1-0ubuntu5_i386.deb
I have this output:

Aparently, the program has been installed well, but when I try to execute it, it doesn't work, nothing happens. If I try to execute it in a terminal with the "scratch" command I get this error:

jaime@amd64x2Linux:~/Escritorio/scratch$ scratch
could not find module vm-sound-pulse
Aborted
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Any suggestion?

I am having the same problem on Ubuntu 11.10
could not find module vm-sound-pulse

Scratch doesn't work that well on Ubuntu/Linux.

Not necroposting; the post was totally valid: I'm having the same problem, and since nobody has answered it yet, I'm bumping it up.

I ran into this same problem after doing a fresh install of Ubuntu amd64 12.04 on top of my old Ubuntu 11.10 amd64.
I eventually found a somewhat related post online that told me the AMD64 Ubuntu install is missing the i386 modules. To fix this, I only needed to install the i386 modules using:
sudo apt-get install ia32-libs
Scratch ran fine for me right after that.
