I just checked the 'things I'm making and creating' forum, and about half of the front page is just Minecraft servers, and there are probably more on the other pages. I think this is slightly out of control. Maybe the Scratch Team should do something about it...?

One of the reasons the Making and Creating forum was created was to give the Minecraft topics a place to go in, so no, they should stay.
You see, a long time ago (like a month and a half ago) the forums were very, very different. You see, there was a section called Miscellaneous. Pretty much everyone you see on the TIMaC and TIRaP sections were there from Miscellaneous. Pretty much ANYTHING (appropriate) was allowed, from discussing the weather, to non-flamewar debates. BUT after some SEVERE troll attacks (one of which was responsible for the removal of the [img] tags), they decided it was best to leave it behind.
Sadly, a few famous Misc. people left afterwards. People you see like Veggie, GLADoS, agscratcher, and several less known but almost equally active people like myself are still active on the Forums.
So now you know.

I know Miscellaneous. I was on the forums before it was closed. I saw the troll attacks. I was there, you know. You just wasted a few seconds of time.

Yes, there certainly is a lot of interest in Minecraft right now! Why do you feel that we should do something about it? Is it becoming too dominant in this forum to the point where it's hard to find non-Minecraft topics? What do you suggest?

I just did that for fun. I saw you when you were on Miscellaneous, remember?

Maybe you can make a forum just for Minecraft.
@Luke121 I was on Miscellaneous?

It's a good thought. I don't really like the idea of making a dedicated forum for such a narrow topic - but I do agree that there is probably enough activity to support it. I also expect that eventually the Minecraft fad will die down a bit and/or be replaced by the next big thing. Maybe we could make a forum for "Virtual World Building" so it could support things like Roblox and Second Life as well.

The Minecraft threads are the reason I post in R&P a lot more than M&C >_>
