Help with Variables please!

I need help. Sometimes, in certain games where you need to change a variable, theres a little bar under the variable, how do i get this to show!! thanks!

To get the slider on a variable, option-click (mac) or right-click (windows) on the variable display.  You should get a an option to "show slider".

My personal opinion is that Scratch has hidden too many important features behind the option-click of various objects.  It wouldn't be so bad if there were a decent reference manual documenting all the features and commands, but a lot of them are only documented in random comments on the forums.

i was wondering how you get it so that you only have the number, and it doesnt say what the variable is. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/ihaveamac/50091 has that in the upper right hand corner

To get that on a variable, option-click (mac) or right-click (windows) on the variable display.Then click on large readout.
