I FORGOT.

You think they are pointless until they aren't even in the word! "Riposte to earn my respect, Reginald" would have like barely any R sound from what I've heard and then all the sudden, "I've got an idear" 'I carn't do that"

(And Liru, how do we say Dog any differently than it is spelled?)

And uh, I know I like seriously stereotyped you guys right there but this has to be on of the more insulting threads I've read.

"I have no idea(r) what the American archived papers say but I'll say something about being against freedom and act like I know more anyway!"
"NO AMERICANS PRONOUNCE ANYTHING CORRECT BOYS"

Well, I prefer the british pronounciation, no offence :3

Say dog. Now say laugh. See how it sounds very similar? In the british/aussie pronunciation they sound completely different. The o in dog sound like the o in oil, but without the twist of the i at the end  smile

How the heck do you think I say dog and laugh because they definitely don't sound the same.

The way americans do it, they sound pretty similar.

Generalising of course.

Listen to one of the apple ads ( I think the unibody one) and listen to that british designer. Then listen to the other guys.

It's also annoying that they find it offensive when I can't understand them but it's perfectly ok to be racist towards me and my nationality with stupid stereotypes and the false knowledge that we all know the queen.

Wow.

For the record, those people sound like the idiot and scum of our country all stewing around your city because it's the capital or something.

It's the same on a lot of places, Americans will sometimes ask "How's the queen?" and I'll say "I don't know, how's Obama?", it seems to be a magnet for ignorant Americans.

Where I live we are apparently all completely fat idiots with no respect or dignity living in filth and being jerks. (Not to mention I live in Kentucky)

Kentucky accent is cool :3

How's Obama?

We don't always. The O in don't even, is pronounced the way you say out the letter.

Anyway, I support him I guess. Maybe the other candidates just frighten me with how stupid our country would end up with them on top.

I know I'M not one to refuse free ponies.

But I think it's time the topic be re-railed.

I can do a pretty good Australian accent. Although the way the R's are pronounced is kinda off-putting.
