Just putting that out on the table.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubstep
notice how it says dubstep is a genre of music in the first sentence.
Not for me.
If I were to write that article, it would be a genre of ear tormenting.

You can't really say things you don't like aren't music just because they hurt your ears.
I know tons of people that call this not music and even painful but it's a song I heartily enjoy (and I think is one of the best songs released in the last decade).

Music: "Music is an art form whose medium is sound and silence"
Dubstep is an art form that used a medium of sound and silence. Bam. It's music.

I am not contradicting you in any way, but my personal opinion is that Tunak Tunak Tun is better-sounding to me than dubstep.

This is not a discussion of what sounds good or not. Music doesn't need to sound good; it just needs to have some noise or lack of such.

Yes, I know that, but I still think Tunak Tunak Tun is better.

You have so much to hear, my friend. Skrillex's older stuff(like Rock N Roll) is good, but there is so much good dubstep out there. I recommend...
Excison
Knife Party
Flux Pavilion
Doctor P
Nero
Those are just some good artists, there's a lot more out there. And if you like dubstep, you might also like electro house and IDM.

I think we all have different ideas of what can or cannot be considered as music. That being said, this post doesn't really offer a useful conversation to this thread and seems more like a comment intended to provoke others.
When it comes to posting in threads, I think it's better to stay away from topics that we know are not going to enjoy, or if we do choose to post in them, we post our opinions in a respectful manner. Otherwise, if there's nothing nice to post, better to not post it all.

Agreed. Both "Ego" and "Mirror" are great.
Also, if anyone wants to listen to a really old school dubstep song, BAM.
