Support!  Favorites, I think, are given more consideration than love-its, so it would be more accurate.   smile

Goodbye, Scratch. I am leaving because of the exams coming up at our school, though I'll check the forums once or twice a week.

Re: "What the Community is Favoriting" category on frontpage

That's a pretty good idea! I'd be inclined to support it, in fact.

My only issue is that favouriting seems to be closely linked to loving something, so there might not be enough of a difference to merit it. I've also always thought of favouriting as more of a way to share something permanently on your page, rather than saying you're seriously impressed with it.

If they did that they'd also need to make it so that you can see underneath the project how many people have favourited it.

Re: "What the Community is Favoriting" category on frontpage

Space on the front page is really valuable, so one of the current categories would probably have to be replaced by this.

Which spot do you suggest it replaces?

Why would they need to remove a category? What's wrong with having one more?

'Cause then it would encourage to add another category. And another. And another. And eventually, the front-page is huge

Yeah but TBH this is pretty much the only realistic category that isn't on the front page, so I doubt that there'll ever be another category apart from this one, possibly.

That's my problem with this idea too. Favoriting isn't that much different from giving love-its, so it wouldn't accomplish much. Each favorite would be worth a lot more towards getting the project front paged.

Yes, but people usually put more thought into giving favorites, so it would be more accurate. People often use loveits as a sort of "currency", even if they don't really love the project.
