I know it's not much use for us, but for new people coming in, it would probably be of some use. What do you think?

Yeah, look at vm's and my name, both are perfectly fine. Plus, spaces could be abused and the whole site could be spammed with names like:
k a j
(cheesy, huh? )
So yeah.
Also, your siggy is epic, veggieman

Well, couldn't people be named " " and " " and " " and " ", but you couldn't tell the difference because spaces don't like, show or anything. Using the "_" symbol is fine.
@lunarman42: People already kinda do the "kaj" thing. I recently saw a Kaj_ and a _Kaj and even a K_a_j.

You can't have urls with spaces, so it would be IMPOSSIBLE
You could use %20.
However, I don't support. This would make mimicking acounts ridiculously easy (by putting a space on the end).

Oh yeah, that's a good point actually.
Plus you can just use underscores instead.

It's just not necessary.

People already mimick accounts-
Example:
The original account is Qwerty1.
The impostor account is Qwerty1_.

But that can be easily seen.
Qwerty1
Qwerty1
One has a space, and the other doesn't. It's much harder to tell the difference now.

Yeah. So something like this could happen.
Joletole

One has a space, one doesn't. I don't support.

Kinda awkward.
And unnecessary.
