Multiple processor/core utilisation

Doing a really resource intensive task in Scratch, and looking at the Activity Monitor, it looks like only one of my 4 cores at a time are doing any work...

Would it be possible to make Scratch use more than one?

Also, a 64-bit version of Scratch should be developed so that more RAM can be used  smile

I'm not sure if that would be possible.

Goodbye, Scratch. I am leaving because of the exams coming up at our school, though I'll check the forums once or twice a week.

Re: Multiple processor/core utilisation

You have a four-core computer?!
I only have dual core.
But yeah, this would be cool.

Re: Multiple processor/core utilisation

Isn't this more of a language issue? I'm not sure if Squeak, Java, or Flash can handle multi-threading properly. (without cheating, any way)

I'm pretty sure they can.

64-bit would also be good...
