I am in the process of making a minecraft mod, and I need help. I need suggestions on features and the name. I will for sure be adding some new ores and metals, and perhaps more redstone features.

make a mod where you can make it so you can dye redstone so it doesn't connect to anything but it's own color.

Have you tried RedPower? It uses jacketing to achieve the same thing.

RedPower requires forge just so you know.

I'm going to make Dirt Stone, which is the same as stone except craftable out of dirt. I am having some problems with MCP though.

Platinum Ore! It would have the speed of gold, but it would be more durable.

Tell me your problems and I'll solve them.

It gives me a random error code that I don't understand when I recompile. I copy/pasted from a tutorial, so I don't know what's wrong. I tried twice...

Obsidian tools. Since it's so hard to break that implies that it's strong so high durability and reasonable speed (between iron and stone)

I will after school. I can't copy and paste from the command prompt, though.

How about that stone bricks turn into cracked stone bricks when you mine them two times?
I mean: mine, place, mine

You can... Just highlight the error message, then click the system menu box (the icon) and i think the copy button is in the edit sub-menu or something.

No, it shouldn't be a set amount of times. Just randomly one will become cracked.
And maybe if you leave it long near water it becomes mossy.

RedPower requires forge just so you know.
Is there a better or faster way to download redpower without downloading all of those separate things? Like maybe a minecraft.jar file or something for redpower for minecraft 1.2.5. A long time ago, both me AND my dad were CONSTANTLY trying to get a minecraft mod to work (IndustrialCraft), and we couldn't get it to work. Even more amazing is I am a computer whiz with stuff like files and programming. Probably because I don't know anything about Java.
Go here to learn more or to help develop Apputunaria. Check my signature later to see if X Programming has a forum yet. Learning AIOffline
Maybe super diamond, and instead of diamond, you use diamond blocks. swords could do 10 hearts of damage, and have like 1500 hits, pickaxes could make you like creative, and destroy SUPER fast, and axes the same as pickaxes, and hoes could maybe have a chance to till blocks around it.
