If you were chosen curator, and you favorited your own project, will it be on the front page?

Yes, everything you that you put in your favorites is gonna be on the front page. I would recommend not to do that.

I was actually wondering that myself. I doubt anyone would actually do it if it was possible though, because they'd get loads of abuse for it.

Back when I was a normal user and was chosen to be a curator, I asked the ST about that and they said that curators wouldn't be able to curate themselves. Curators are discouraged from curating their own projects.

Yeah, you were the very first curator. What was it like? I've always wanted to become one.

Probably not quite the same as other curator's experiences, because I was kind of like a test subject for curatorship!
The curators nowadays have the luxury of showcasing projects over a two-week period and don't have a link to their userpage on the front page.
But I first started out, I originally had a week to curate stuff, so I rotated projects everyday (that's when the ST decided that maybe a week wasn't enough to curate projects so they extended it to two weeks). And then the link to the curator's userpage on the front caused way too much focus on me rather than the curated projects that I was forced to make this project as a way to curb the amount of spam and friend requests I've been getting! (that's when the ST decided to remove the link and replace it to an info page about curators in general).
I'd imagine, though, that the curators nowadays kind of had a similar (if not the same) pressure to try and find interesting projects to feature. ^^;

Discouraged... You mean it is possible then?

Well, they could possibly cheat through an alt account.

I wondered about that too, since my curator shift is coming up. I'm guessing that they can, but since the curators are carefully chosen, and 80% of them are rule-abiding scratchers, I guess the scratch team just figures that they won't. Plus, if they do, they'll get tons of abuse for it.
