Hi I'm a trainee teacher trying to get to grips with the programme before taking it into school so am making an example game.
Does anyone know how to get a paintbrush sprite to paint over only a section of a background? I have the pen tool following the mousepointer and changing colour but can't seem to set boundaries to where gets painted.

If you are creating your own drawing program and are trying to prevent the pen from writing when say x>10 or y<-20, then add
if x > 10 or y < -20
pen up
else
pen down
in your mouse-following code.
