There is no magical formula to getting onto the homepage.

Well, getting on the home pages takes a bit of luck and some skill. Like what the others here have said, putting in effort and making a good project is important. It's also a good idea to be active in the community so people know that you are around and have projects to contribute to the community. Here's a thread that can help.

I did that! It soooo works! 

If it is good or if the Scratch Team likes it or something, it can be curated or featured. Or if you just uploaded a Project, it will be in the new projects place in the home screen.
