Scratch

Hello! Thank you for clicking on this thread! This is a thread with tips and tricks on how get that highly coveted Scratcher status. This has probably been posted already somewhere, but I haven't seen it yet, so I figure this will be a nice, updated refresher for new scratchers struggling to become full members of the Scratch community.

TIPS

1. Be Active. Being active on the forums every day, (or as many days as you can,) will help you get closer to Scratcher. It takes about 2 weeks of full forum activity, along with a clean record, to gain a scratcher ranking. There are some easier ways, but primarily, being active is the best thing to do if you want to become a Scratcher.

2. Be Constructive. Though some people will say that this is the same as 'not spamming', (which, as a friendly reminder to you, new scratchers, isn't good either,) but I think it is different. Not being constructive would be saying 'hi' and maybe    as a reply to a post on a new scratcher thread. A constructive reply would be something like this: "hello! Welcome to scratch! we have an excellent, and very friendly community, I think you will enjoy it here very much!" try to get at least two scentences, maybe more, into each of your responses.

3. Comment On Projects.
Now this is one that you may not have seen, but certenly works. Posting friendly comments, not just in the forums, but on other people's work, is one of the best but less-know ways to scratcherhood. Of course, like the earlier 'be constructive' piece of advice, this tip won't work if your comments are all 'link to project' or 'cool. view my stuff plz.' Make your comments interesting and friendly--even if you didn't like the project, what could the creator do to make it better? Also, remember, just being active a lot on the scratch website also inches your scratcherhood a bit closer.


ADVICE

1. DON'T SPAM. You've probably heard it a million times, in a million different threads. Just...don't do it. Not cool, not constructive.

2. BE NICE. Cyberbullies don't get upgrades. period.

3. CHILLAX. < self explainitory.
