Welcome to scratch! It is true that scratch is good for educational use, but as you'll soon find out, it's fun to do it outside of schooltime as well!

Welcome to scratch. I got famous by making 3D animations when I was new. It is an excellent career path.

Hi all
I am new here and got here by accident. My son is using Scratch at school and he asked me to help him. I am trying to help despite having no programming experience and I am pretty sure I will acquire plenty of knowledgeable debate here.

Hey
And the beauty of Scratch is that it's actually designed for people with little programming experience, so you don't need to worry about that!

Hello. Scratch is pretty easy to learn, so you don't need to worry about having no programmig experience

Hi guys, my name is George, my nickname is George The Cat........well anyway nice to meet you all. Im from Bulgaria and Im glad to see BG language in the program. Im almost 18 years old and this program seems to be easy to use and to make me in fun mood. What can I say for me more, well Im intermediate user of Game Maker 8.0 PRO and novice user of Construct so developing games is not a new word for me. My game genres usuallly are RTS, racers and funny comics (novels) and maybe so called street fighter games (comics versus comics) own maded. Well Im sure you did not understand what I had sayed with the last one (dont worry me too)! My English is not very good but Im trying to improve it a lot for already 3 years.
If I have questions about Scratch I will ask. I hope here I will find good friends like i already did in the other communities.
Also is interesting how I had finded Scratch. I had searched for a game making from scratch but instead of that I finded Scratch.....Hmmmm whats this??????? Wow a game making software and its FREE!!!!!
By the way only one question: Can we export our games to .exe files and if not when we can expect that?
And HELLO to all!!!!

Welcome, RacerBG!
Scratch doesn't natively support exporting to EXE, but a user called Jens made a program like that. Search for Scratch2EXE.
