I know what the school has taught me of Canadian French but I would rather learn Latin

Oh cool! It's important to learn Spanish, many people speak it in the world. I know spanish and I'm learning Chinese (Not a best choice, but it's a cool language!).

latin's pretty useful considering the fact that it's a base for so many languages

Mandarin is actually the most-spoken language in the world, with over a billion speakers, with English coming in second, with over 700 million.
