What are YOUR goals and opinions?
Everybody has their own goals and opinions. Let me share a few of mine with you:
My Goals on Scratch:

3.) To become a Forum Moderator. (I hope so...)
4.) To embrace the Scratch community. (In the process...)
5.) To someday meet another Scratcher in real life. (Not yet!)
6.) To accomplish these goals before I leave Scratch. (I hope so!)
My opinions on certain things:

Here's mine:
On Scratch:
- Are you trying to make a project with tons of scripts, or few scripts?
Right now, I'm trying to make a project, and it has a ton of scripts.
- Are you striving to achieve excellence, or are you just trying to help the community?
Both, actually.
- Do you like commenting on projects, or posting in the forums?
I like both equally, but I find myself posting in the forums more often because sometimes projects take almost forever to load (I post in the forums to pass the time while loading ).
- Do you like advanced projects, or simple projects?
I like any project, so long as the user has put some serious thought and effort into making it
- Do you check every message you get, or do you delete them all?
I check them all.
- Would you use the search bar, or find people the hard way?
I'm a search engine freak and I so totally know how to command search engines to do my bidding. MWAHAHA!).
My Goals on Scratch:
A while back before I got into programming, I had this fangurlish thought for a game. When my professor introduced me to SCRATCH, I saw this as an opportunity to bring this thought to life. So my immediate goal right now is to have it finished and to share it with my friends.
My second goal is to create an interactive tutorial for advanced spriting and sprite editing SCRATCH.
My opinions on certain things:
I agree with what was said in the previous posts of this thread

Yeah, it's alright we all have a little bit of a hypocrite inside of us.

Yes I am and scratch isn't taking it very well. I am forced to split up my code in way that would not be necessary in any other languages, kinda frustrating.

Just killing boredom for the most part.
joeyman wrote:

Sure
joeyman wrote:

Any project with interesting code is a good project
joeyman wrote:

I check my messages and don't delete them.
joeyman wrote:

I use both ways

Scratch is good for simple programming but trying to push it too far is asking for trouble. It kinda frustrates me when people say that scratch is as powerful and versatile as a language like action script because it isn't.
My goal at the moment is to create the best game on scratch. I haven't really made a ton of games on scratch because I though that the limitations would cause too many problems. My next game may not get top loved of all time (because love its is not a good indicator of quality) but it will probably be the best game on the site. I have invested about 100+ hours of my time into it to make it as good as a flash version would be.

- Are you trying to make a project with tons of scripts, or few scripts?
Well, I attempt to make great projects with few scripts. Doesn't really work, though
- Are you striving to achieve excellence, or are you just trying to help the community? [i]
Both. Mostly trying to help.
[i]- Do you like commenting on projects, or posting in the forums?
Forums for sure. I don't find the project commenting quite so much a good way to have discussions or help people out.
- Do you like advanced projects, or simple projects?
Innovative or fun projects. I don't really care how advanced/simple it is.
- Do you check every message you get, or do you delete them all?
Check 'em all!
- Would you use the search bar, or find people the hard way?
Well, I tend to type in the URL. Yes, I have that much time on my hands

- Are you trying to make a project with tons of scripts, or few scripts?
Tons of scripts. Definitely. I love very big projects, especially ones that take 50- 100 hours or more... But I like small projects as well. A project with 300 scripts isn't always better than one with 10.
- Are you striving to achieve excellence, or are you just trying to help the community?
Both. I admit that I try to do the first more though.
- Do you like commenting on projects, or posting in the forums?
Only if I have something good to say.
- Do you like advanced projects, or simple projects?
See my first answer.
- Do you check every message you get, or do you delete them all?
I check them all, but I delete them after that. We were told that keeping them was bad for the Scratch website, right?
- Would you use the search bar, or find people the hard way?
Search bar. I can find people by randomly stumbling upon their projects too.
-What are your Goals/Opinions on Scratch?
My goal? To make games and have them played by a good number of people. My opinions? Scratch is good but limited. I'm always frustrated by how little it can do for me in some areas. Time to move on soon, I guess.

Getting a project featured is harder than I thought.
I've written some pretty good projects but haven't gotten featured yet. I'm kind of at a loss for what it will take.

Yeah, if you get frontpage a lot then the scratch team is less likely to feature you. They prefer to feature undiscovered scratchers.

Yep. My main goals right now are to:
Become a Forum Moderator
Embrace the Scratch Community
Make many more projects
