Re: IP Ban

An IP ban is where an IP is banned (not allowed, blocked) from using something.
And an IP is an "Internet protocol", it's basically an address every internet connection has.

So basically, it's a way for a whole house/area/building to be blocked.

Re: IP Ban

It's when the Scratch Team blocks people from using a certain IP to use the Scratch website.   smile

That's a network ban. IP banning is banning one single computer.

nope. the ip is for one network if you're behind a router or similar device. they can do large scale ip bans for large areas like cities by leaving fields as asterisks, wildcards blocking all in the range.

IP bans can ban more than one computer, if they're connected to the same network.

Re: IP Ban

IP bans can ban more than one computer, as long as there conected to the same network. For example, they might IP ban someone if they were banned before, but kept making new accounts and getting those banned and making more accounts.

Re: IP Ban

Aw, I got IP banned because my brother broke the rules...

I actually think that the first ban should be account ban (his username was Random-Guy-FTW1010), and if the banned user creates another accounts to break the rules again, then an IP ban.... I wish ST unblock my  network soon  sad

I HAVE SWITCHED ACCOUNTS! My new username is NoxSpooth.

Yeah. I can never get proxies to work on forums though. One time, my sister got banned on this other site, and I could hide my IP with a proxy, but every time I tried to post something it just took me to a blank screen  hmm
